Jakob Schuh (Munich, Germany, 1976) started his studies at Ludwigsburg’s Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg in 1996, where he has been teaching since 2003. Parallel to his studies at the film academy, he studied illustration as a fellowship-holder at the Summer Academy of Fine Arts in Salzburg. In 1997 he attended the master class in painting and experimental animation at the College of Applied Arts in Vienna. Jakob Schuh has been involved in various animation film productions since 1995, and worked as a caricaturist and illustrator for the Süddeutsche Zeitung. In 1999, he started working for London’s studio aka, and in 2002 he co-founded Studio Soi, where so far he designed and directed a number of acclaimed shorts, commercials and titles.
