Competitions 2012

Competitions HAFF
HAFF organizes international competitions for feature films, shorts and web films, a competition for European student films and a competition for Dutch animation.
Selection features
Nine films have been selected for the international competition for feature films. A nice trip around the world, from Iceland to Columbia and from UK to Singapore and Japan.
Selection shorts
Out of the generous amount of well over 800 entries, 47 films have been selected for the international competition for shorts.
Selection European student films
Out of a royal number of over 300 entries, 53 films have been selected for the competition for European student films.
Selection Dutch animation
48 films will compete for the audience’s favour. For the competition for the Audience Award Dutch Animation, a selection committee made a pick from 120 entries. The committee consisted of Sjors Houkes (invited by HAFF), Hasse van Nunen (director Breaking Ground, on behalf of VERS) en Nynke Rusticus (producent CinéTé Filmproductie, on behalf of VNAP - Vereniging Nederlandse Animatieproducenten). The festival audiences will eventually select the winner. The winner will be a special guest at the HAFF in March 2013.
